I don’t know about you, but I have to admit that it gives me great satisfaction when a suspicious looking email drops into my inbox and the option “delete forever” pops up.
Forever erased, cancelled, obliterated, sent packing, off into cyberspace to dwell in limbo among all the other electronic junk, for all eternity. Farewell. Goodbye. Adieu.
I feel somehow gratified. A little smug to be honest.
It got me wondering (because it’s good to wonder) wouldn’t it be great if we could do that with all the other things we don’t need or that annoy us? Not people you understand, that would be wrong it every way, but the things, the stuff, the negative soundtracks we play on repeat, the self-doubt, the bad or unhealthy habits, that kind of thing. Is it possible?
Yes. It is. You can literally reprogram your mind.
We were all programmed when we were young. Our parents, caregivers, family members, friends, and teachers all had a hand in programming the way we behave, what we believe, what’s right and wrong etc. As a matter of fact, our programming began even before we were born, before we were even conscious.
So if we were programmed, and our early thoughts and ways of thinking were controlled by others, why not take over the controls? Become the controller rather than the controlled.
Why not “delete forever” bad or unhealthy habits, old negative programming, outdated programs that were installed that have become detrimental to your health and happiness?
How can you do this?
It’s actually quite simple, although it does take time and practice.
Here are two fail-safe ways to reprogram your subconscious mind and delete forever, the things that no longer benefit you and that hold you back from experiencing your best possible life.
- Hypnosis. During the first seven years of life, our minds are operating in a low vibrational frequency called THETA, the same brainwave frequency as hypnosis. This is the perfect state in which to download and store new information. See the end of this article for more info on hypnosis and Clinical Hypnotherapy.
- Repeat. Practice. Repeat. The subconscious mind learns by repetition. Whatever you practice, and the longer you practice it, you better you get at it. The better you get, the more likely the program will take root in your subconscious mind and become automatic. With this in mind (excuse the pun) it’s crucial that you recognise the things you practice and repeat. You need to check they still benefit you. That they make you happy, fulfil you, contribute to your health and wellbeing, are positive and make you feel good.
